THE TIDEGLASS COLLECTION

Limited original acrylic paintings, inspired by Pacific Northwest seaglass.

The Tideglass original paintings hold the quiet memory of discovery, of days spent by the sea, of the things we choose to keep.

A reminder that the most beautiful things are often something discovered, shaped, and changed by time.

The genesis for this collection began on Whidbey Island last summer. We walked the shoreline at low tide, sifting through the sand, searching. Tiny flashes of color would catch the light—soft greens, deep blues, cloudy whites—glass shaped by time and water, waiting to be found. We gathered them in our palms, turning them over, holding onto something once sharp and broken, now polished by time.

Each painting is a reflection of that moment. Layers of blues and greens and pinks and oranges. Inspiration pulled straight from the coast, textured like water meeting sand, shifting with the light.

Art as timeless as sea glass

Each Tideglass piece is painted in acrylic by award-winning creative Jodi Kendall at her Portland, Oregon studio on expertly handcrafted 10x10 wood panels—individually made and framed in floating white oak by a skilled local craftsman.

Captivating on their own or hung together in a collected series, these paintings echo the way sea glass is gathered—one piece at a time, each one unique, but together, telling a story.

About the artist

Jodi Kendall paints the way she sees the world—exploring movement and moments, in layers.

Deep blues of moving water, streaks of light caught in tree branches, the rough grain of old-growth wood beneath her hands. The sky shifting from pale mist to heavy storm clouds, the way rain softens the edges of everything.

Her paintings are a reflection of it all, built slowly and intentionally, layer by layer, until they feel just right.
